Selen Gülün is a pianist, vocalist, composer, and academic working in the field of contemporary music, whose practice spans composition-driven music, improvisation, and cross-disciplinary performance. Her compositions have been performed internationally by ensembles such as the Dartford Symphony Orchestra and the Vellinger String Quartet(UK), Ensemble TRIS (Austria), Percussion Ensemble and the Istanbul Modern Music Ensemble. With eleven albums in her discography, Gülün has lived and worked in the United States, Japan, Italy (Rome) and the United Kingdom (London), presenting her music internationally in a wide range of formats and contexts.
