First and Second are the scariest terms for a periodical event!

Once starting an event for the first time, no matter how experienced you are, there are definitely numerous issues you have to keep in mind: Are you going to meet the goals you have set and boldly claimed? Have you forecasted everything adequately? Have you foreseen all possible obstacles? How will the audience, participants or critics respond? … and dozens of such doubts which you have to carry its weight till the very last moment. And what a relief when the final note hit and the good vibes fill the atmosphere.

But hold on! Don’t celebrate soon. The story isn’t over yet! There is another monster waiting for you called the Second! You made expectations grow and now you have to prove everyone –including yourselves- that if everything went as planned, if the audience awarded you with applause, if all events were punctual, if the sound was acceptable, if your crew acted appropriate, if the musicians felt satisfied, if critics reviewed it with respect and most of all the soulful community which has been built around it wasn’t just a Midas Touch!

Although SoHFest-2024 is in fact the 5^th edition of the festival, but also the second to be held in Istanbul; therefore no surprise if we carry such worries once again! Now…here we are ; relying on our loyal audience, beautiful artists, supportive friends and a committed team, excited and motivated to launch the second Second! Let’s celebrate music, community and the moment in Istanbul!
