Show Of Hands is a tribute to one of the most abstract phenomena in music – spontaneous, on the dot creation – away from conventional classifications. The aim of this annual event, for whose first installment we chose solo piano, is to bring lovers of music together.

It came as a surprise that no similar event – dedicated to improvisation on a single instrument – had taken place in countries with a history of musical performances. As such, doubt arose among pundits as to the sagacity of such undertaking, “Perhaps there is a reason why it hadn’t been attempted in other places.” We answered in innocent boldness, “Perhaps such an idea hadn’t occurred to anyone before!”
