I feel that there is a clear line going through all my playing and projects – one of melodic and contemplative focus; of searching for stripped- down essentialism and un-sweetened beauty; and of finding the spaces where sensual, hymn- like groundedness and explorative openness can coexist. Being creative has a much better chance of happening organically, avoiding alienation and stiffness, when done in energetic connection with my musical and spiritual roots.
