To me cello is very close to human voice and physically I am connected to it through my hands and heart. I can sing with it and tell stories and at each moment they become as new and different as the waves of the sea or the blow of the wind.
While playing we must challenge ourselves not to fall in repetition. We shouldn’t allow staying safe where we are happy in, because it will stop us from flying. That’s what the whole concept of performing or improvising means to me. Open my ears in and out to express something which may have existed for a long time.
